Salvia coccinea 'Summer Jewel Red'

  • Texas sage or scarlet sage. To 36", often shorter, and differing from S. splendens in its slightly hairy foliage, more graceful habit, and more delicate flower clusters. The natural range of the species is also more northerly and encompasses most of Texas, the Gulf coast states all the way to South Carolina, northern Mexico and the West Indies. Selections with white, salmon and bicolored flowers are also available.
