Mimulus 'Mixed'
- Hybrid monkey flower. 6" - 10", usually spreading somewhat wider. Almost all colors but blue and purple, in solids as well as wildy splashed an spotted bicolors and blends. These plants are descended from the Pan-American species M. guttatus, which ranges from Alaska to South America, as well as others. Though usually treated as an annual for its brightly colored flowers which bloom all Summer in cool, moist semi-shade, some cultivars may overwinter in mild climates. Potential exists for use of more Northern landraces in breeding for hardiness.
