Lavandula stoechas 'Otto Quast'
- Spanish Lavender. To 36", though many dwarf cultivars have recently been introduced. Compact bushy shrub with linear gray-green leaves. Flowers spikes are fragrant with dark calyx and oversized purplish-blue corolla; newer cultivars exhibit a much wider range of color. Delightfully fragrant. Grown as an annual in all but the mildest climates. Like all Lavenders, it appreciates a lean, dry soil.
