Ipomoea batatas 'Bright Ideas Lime'
- Sweet Potato. Usually about 12" - 15" tall, spreading wider. May types grown for food develop long vines. Edible tuberous roots are less pronounced on the varieties grown for ornamental foliage. "Vardaman" is a notable exception which produces high-quality tubers over compact plants with burgundy-bronze, heart shaped foliage. Propagated from cuttings and grown as annuals, they are not hardy except in tropical climates. Small morning glory flowers occasionally appear.
