  • Common foxglove. 60" - 72" or more when well grown, taller in the far Northern latitudes. Large spikes of bell-shaped flowers in various shades. Reseeding biennial. The principal source of the drug digitalis, and reasonable care should be taken when handling the plants as they are covered with glandular hairs. For fertile, moist, acidic soils. Best in part shade. Summer blooming. Deadheading prolongs bloom.
