Calendula officinalis 'Bon Bon Orange'

  • Pot Marigold. To 30", with many shorter forms available. Important cool season annual gives its name to the Calendula subtribe of the Asteraceae, in which most of the African Daisy genera are also found. Used in cooking, medicine and cosmetics since antiquity - petals impart color and a warm flavor to stews. Typical cultivated forms are double to semi-double, but cultivars with crested and quilled rays are known. Colors include cream, flesh and buff through all shades of yellow and orange, sometimes with reddish polychrome and reverse.
