Begonia x hybrida 'Gryphon'
- Fibrous-rooted, cane type Begonias of the "Angel Wing" or "Bat Wing" type are a diverse group of hybrids, some of Victorian origin. They range from compact types suitable for baskets, bedding or house plants to ten foot conservatory giants. Leaves are often spotted or marbled with white or silver. A few bear flowers which are notably fragrant, and though most are everblooming with sufficient warmth and light, a few are distinclty photoperiod dependent and flower only in short or long days, depending upon cultivar.
